How it is calculated
Each day we total the market value of every MTG set we price, then compare that total against the previous day across only the sets priced on both days. That daily ratio is chained onto a starting value of 1,000, so a newly released set entering the catalogue cannot register as market-wide growth. Today the index covers 441 sets.
